ERIC BUEHLMANN - Deputy Executive Director for Public Policy

Eric has been with NDRN since March of 2007, first as a Senior Public Policy Analyst, now as the Director of Public Policy. In these roles he has worked to increase appropriations and enact legislation helpful to the P&A / CAP Systems. Prior to joining NDRN, from 1995-2007 Eric worked in Senator James JeffordsÂ’ office in a variety of positions, ending with Legislative Counsel. While with Senator Jeffords, Eric worked on a number of issues including: campaign and election law, labor policy, banking and housing, and judiciary-related matters. Eric graduated from the Washington College of Law at American University in 1995 with a J.D., and from Lehigh University in 1990 with a degree in Accounting.

AMANDA LOWE - Policy Analyst

Since February 2015, Amanda Lowe has been a Public Policy Analyst for the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN). Before joining NDRN, Amanda served as a Policy Analyst for the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE). Prior to her work with NASDSE, Amanda worked as a special education teacher for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. She later served as a curriculum coordinator and staff development specialist at the school. She holds a B.A. from the University of Maine in Psychology and a Master Degree from The George Washington University in special education.

DARA BALDWIN - Senior Public Policy Analyst

Before joining NDRN in June 2014, Dara was an ADA Compliance Specialist in the DC Government and also served as a policy analyst at the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL). She was responsible for the diversity and cultural competency outreach as well as working on coalitions to assist with better legislative outcomes for the community. She assisted with writing the disability provisions and was a leader in the advocacy campaign to get the Violence Against Women Act 2013 passed in February 2013. Prior to this work Ms. Baldwin worked as a Child Advocate in NJ, Sr. Policy Analyst on multiple criminal justice issues such as the Second Chance Act and as an Advocacy Manager at TASH.

Dara was born in Spain and raised in Newark, NJ.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ and was a Pi Alpha Alpha honors Graduate with a Masters of Public Administration from Rutgers University the School of Public Affairs and Administration, Newark, NJ.  She received a 2009 and 2010 Presidential Citation Award for her work in the American Society for Public Administration.
