The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) and Coalition Partners send a Letter of Opposition to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Education and Reform Act of 2016 (S.3446) signed by over 100 organizations.

The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) is the largest coalition of national organizations working together to advocate for Federal public policy that ensures the self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society. Read more.

Consortium of Citizens with Disabilities Joins NDRN to Oppose H.R. 3765

The ADA is once again under attack by another “Notification” bill.The House Judiciary Committee passed this bill 15–6 which puts up major barriers to people enforcing ADA rights. It is important for all members of Congress to hear from people with disabilities that weakening the ADA is unacceptable! Read more.

House Judiciary Committee Approves H.R. 3765 by 15 - 6

On July 7, 2016 the House Judiciary Committee held a mark-up of H.R. 3765 and it was voted out of committee by a 15 – 6 vote. During the mark-up modifications to the bill were accepted. Click here for the latest version of H.R. 3765.
