Disability Rights New York Files Lawsuit Challenging NY’s Absentee Voter Process

Disability Rights New York filed a lawsuit, with Disability Rights Advocates and Brown Goldstein & Levy LLP, against NYS Board of Election regarding their refusal to allow accessible electronic absentee ballots.

The lawsuit was brought on behalf of individual voters as well as a coalition of groups, including DRNY, the American Council of the Blind—New York, Inc., Center for Independence of the Disabled, New York, and the National Federation of the Blind of New York State, Inc.
