The full transcript of the Disability Vote Summit is available in English and Spanish.
On September 14, 2021, the National Disability Rights Network, the American Association of People with Disabilities, and the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities presented the Disability Vote Summit. The summit was an opportunity for policymakers, journalists, and academics to better understand the disability community and its potential impact on elections. The presentations and panelists highlighted the challenges people with disabilities face when casting the ballot that can vary by disability status, socioeconomic factors, and the accessibility of polling places.
Special thanks to the Democracy Fund and the Ford Foundation for their generous support that made this event possible.
