On May 22, 2019, the First Circuit affirmed the district court on a challenge to a private placement on the grounds that the child was not receiving a FAPE in the Least Restrictive Environment. NDRN joined an amicus brief filed by the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, the Association of University Centers on Disabilities, the Disability Law Center (the Massachusetts P&A), the National Center for Learning Disabilities, the National Center for Youth Law and the National Down Syndrome Congress.
