On February 7, 2020, in C.L. v. Del Amo Hospital, NDRN, Disability Rights California and five other national disability rights organizations filed an amicus brief authored by pro bono counsel from Munger, Toles, & Olson LLP in a case where the district court held that plaintiff’s self-trained psychiatric service dog was not a service animal. The amicus brief explains in detail the DOJ service animal rulemaking which recognized self-trained service animals.
