On November 20, 2019, NDRN signed onto a rare amicus in support of a petition for certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court in Jenkins v. Nebraska, #19-514 in a case involving a capital murder case for a minor who had been mostly kept in solitary confinement after an earlier conviction.
The Supreme Court in its April 20, 2020 Orders List, denied the Petition for Certiorari in Jenkins v. Nebraska.
