On February 25, 2021, NDRN joined five national disability organizations in an amicus brief authored by AARP which was filed in Cochran v. Gresham in the Supreme Court. The case involves a challenge to a Medicaid waiver that included work requirements. The Amicus educates the Court about the Medicaid expansion population that includes people with chronic medical conditions and functional limitations. It also discusses how the administrative barriers in the work requirements will exacerbate coverage losses.
