On June 24, 2021, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, called for comments via a request for information entitled “Needs and Challenges for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Use for Underserved User Populations”. On October 15, 2021, the National Disability Rights Network submitted comments to highlight several issues experiences of people with disabilities brought about by PPE policies, which have impacted such people in the workplace.
