NDRN Urges Census Bureau’s NAC for Disability Representation

On May 15, 2019, NDRN sent a letter to the Census Bureau urging the National Advisory Committee on Racial, Ethnic and Other Populations (NAC) to explicitly include organizations advocating for the rights of people with disabilities and people with disabilities in its membership.

“Disability must not be overlooked when discussing important matters like our Nation’s decennial census and we urge NAC to include people with disabilities,” asks NDRN’s Executive Director, Curt Decker in the letter.

The Census Bureau posted our letter as Public Comment on the NAC Meeting site. We look forward to working with the NAC in their consideration of adding a member that represents the disability community.
