On July 24, 2018, NDRN joined nine California disability rights organizations, medical and clinical professionals in an amicus letter urging the California Supreme Court to grant review of the California Court of Appeals decision in Reilly v. Marin Housing Authority. The amicus letter puts into perspective the importance of the income exemption in the HUD Section 8 housing program for In-Home Supportive Services payments.
On August 29, 2018, the California Supreme Court agreed to hear the case and the parties will have the opportunity to submit briefs on the merits.
On December 19, 2018, NDRN joined several California disability, housing and social services organizations in filing an amicus in the California Supreme Court providing perspective regarding the importance of the income inclusion in the HUD Section 8 housing program for In-Home Supportive Services payment.
