Robles v. Domino’s Pizza, Ninth Circuit, #17-55504
On October 26, 2018, NDRN joined 13 national and state disability and civil rights groups in an amicus brief in on behalf of blind customer who was unable to use the store’s website to order pizza. The amicus argues that the district court erred in finding a public accommodation can wait for DOJ to issue web specific ADA accessibility regulations.
On January 15, 2019, the Ninth Circuit issued a favorable decision finding that the ADA applied to Domino’s Pizza’s website and app because the Act mandates that places of public accommodation provide auxiliary aids and service to make visual materials available to individuals who are blind.
