The 2024 presidential election is very important. Right now, there are a lot of different ideas about the United States’ future on the Internet and social media. There are also a lot of new voting rules and laws to keep track of.
It can be hard to vote without fear. It can be hard to be sure that your voice will be heard. Some people need help from someone else to vote. It will be hard to be sure you can get the help you need.
That’s why the National Coalition on Accessible Voting (NCAV) made the #RightToHelp Campaign. Right To Help says that United States law protects people with disabilities’ right to get help from almost anyone they choose.
Right to Help will tell people with disabilities how to find people who can explain the Right to Help, like Protection and Advocacy organizations (P&As), the REV UP coalition, and the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities Right to Help also shares social media, images, and information about how important getting help with voting is for everyone.
Voting with help does not mean ignoring state laws! The Laws on the Right to Help are different in every state. Right To Help will tell voters to check their state’s laws before they vote! #VoteSmart, #MakeAPlan!
It has never been more important to make your voice heard by voting. Share far and wide that people with disabilities can get the support they need.
